- Amiga's had parallel-attached drives (A1000s with parallel to SCSI adapters)
- before PCs had bi-directional ports. It is NOT impossible, just unlikely,
- mostly because getting the information from the drive manufacturers is so
- %$#%$# hard. If someone can tell me how to get all of the command interface
- spec's, I'll give it a try. The same problem with the parallel E-net.

- This is true; neither PC's nor Amiga's can achieve SCSI rates with the
- available parallel ports (that I know of) due to the additional overhead
- of dealing with the bi-directional ports. The SCSI port chips handle
- a lot of the signal "toggling" for the processor, which speeds data
- transfers, even without DMA.
